WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- GE Foundation presented a surprise check for $175,000 to New Hanover Community Health Center. The grant money is a part of GE's Developing Health effort in support of providing quality healthcare to underserved residents.
"This donation was huge. It was absolutely huge for us because we want to continue to provide services for the uninsured and the underinsured so it was a major event for us today," New Hanover Community Health Center CEO Aganette Young said.
Developing Health is a three-year, $25 mil program created by the GE Foundation, the company's philanthropic arm.
